Paul Donahoe and Kenny Jordan have been dismissed from the University of Nebraska wrestling team after posing nude for a gay pornography site based in Los Angeles, the Cornhuskers announced Tuesday.
University officials said the men violated a NCAA rule prohibiting athletes to use their photos for commercial use. Athletes are ineligible for competition if they accept compensation.
In addition to several photos, both Jordan (team bio) and Donahoe (team bio) shot solo videos of them masturbating.
Both men have track records with the law, The Associated Press reported. Donahoe has paid fines for maintaining a disorderly home and having an open alcohol container; and Jordan paid fines for a minor in possession of alcohol, trespassing and assault.
Donahoe and Jordan both qualified for the NCAA championships last season, and Donahoe won the 2007 national title at 125 pounds. He finished third in 2008.
