Investigating the Troubles

In the late 90s, British journalist Peter Taylor wrote three books examining the troubles in Northern Ireland: one on the IRA, one on the Loyalists, and one on British military involvement. Those books were subsequently turned into documentaries, all of which are available on YouTube.
